Cookie Policy
How website storage, essential technologies and optional analytics may work on the Academy website.
Effective date: 14 October 2026 · Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website may place on your device. Related technologies such as local storage or similar identifiers can also store or access information. Some are needed for core functions; others are used for analytics, preferences or marketing.
2. Current prelaunch configuration
The Academy uses Google Analytics 4 and Umami Cloud for optional website analytics. Their scripts are loaded only after a visitor accepts analytics. Visitors may reject analytics or change their decision using the Privacy settings control. The choice is stored in browser local storage as academy.analytics.consent.v1.
3. Strictly necessary technologies
Certain technologies may be necessary to deliver a requested service, preserve security, route requests or operate essential website functionality. Where a technology is genuinely strictly necessary, the law may not require prior cookie consent, although transparent information is still important. Our hosting provider may generate server logs even where the site itself sets no tracking cookie.
4. Analytics and performance
After consent, Google Analytics 4 may use cookies such as _ga and process browsing and device data. Umami Cloud provides website analytics and may process technical usage information, although it is designed to work without cookies. Retention depends on provider settings. Neither analytics script loads before affirmative consent. See the providers' privacy information for details.
5. Marketing and third-party content
We do not currently describe advertising or retargeting pixels as part of the Academy prelaunch implementation. If we later introduce them, we will disclose the relevant providers and purposes and seek consent where required before they operate.
6. Your choices
Visitors can choose Accept analytics, Reject, or Manage preferences. No analytics scripts load before opt-in. The persistent Privacy settings button allows consent to be changed later; withdrawing consent stops further analytics after the page reloads. Browser controls can also clear existing cookies and local storage.
7. External websites and checkout
Links to external services, including payment providers if checkout is enabled, may lead to websites with their own cookies and privacy notices. Their use of cookies is governed by their own policies, subject to applicable law.
8. Updates and contact
We will review this policy when analytics, account features or third-party integrations change. For questions or data-protection requests, contact contact@webbingstudios.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
